The condition for a reliable seed quality observation is a superior x-ray image quality. Due to the small size of the seeds, a high spatial resolution is required. Further on, the seeds are very thin and have a low x-ray absorption, which requires a high dynamic range. All these requirements can be fulfilled by NTB's digital x-ray camera systems.
